Shilpa Gupta

Her light installation, ‘We Change Each Other,’ explores the concept of unity and the integration of different cultures. The installation represents the inevitable transformation and dispersion that occurs when individuals or cultures come in contact with each other. In a world increasingly polarised, this work delves into the changes that take place in interpersonal spaces influenced by religion, politics, gender, and intergenerational differences. The installation features text written in Hindi, Urdu, and English, three of the most widely spoken languages in India.
