Hyderabad – A lesser-known cultural legacy in its transition
About RMZ Foundation
RMZ Foundation is a contemporary art institution founded in 2015 by Anu Menda, built on the premise that art belongs in the world, not apart from it. Over the past decade, the Foundation has collected several sculptural works by leading Indian and international artists, spanning 6+ cities in India, alongside a track record of international placements. These works are embedded within the built environment, extending art into everyday life.
The Foundation’s programme extends beyond collection-building to institutional partnerships, long-term investment in emerging artistic practices, including a focused commitment to women artists, and institutional collaborations. Ecosystem leadership anchors its approach, enabling it to nurture diverse artistic expressions and position them within global cultural discourse. With an intentional focus on expanding artistic opportunities, the Foundation is an institution that claims it’s place at the centre of India’s cultural conversation.
In its next phase, RMZ Foundation is consolidating a multi-city institutional framework that aligns curatorial depth, public engagement, and cross-cultural exchange, shaping how contemporary art is experienced, produced, and understood.
Our Mission
RMZ Foundation’s mission is to empower society, democratise art and support all communities with innovation, positive change, and sustainable solutions to social and economic challenges. Thereby shaping a resilient tomorrow.
