Anu Menda

Anu Menda, Chair of the RMZ Foundation (RMZF), where she leads initiatives at the intersection of Art, Resilient Communities, and Urban Innovation. Her overarching goal is to empower individuals, drive development, and contribute to the well-being of society.

Throughout her journey, Anu Menda has diligently established initiatives aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These encompass diverse areas such as affordable housing, clean energy, regenerative architecture, and responsible sourcing, all underscored by a strong commitment to sustainability.

Her steadfast belief in art’s communicative and empowering power drives her efforts to bring art to public spaces, fostering meaningful dialogue and fortifying communities.

Under her visionary leadership, RMZF operates on a collaborative partnership model dedicated to sustainable and equitable development with a strong emphasis on urban innovation and social entrepreneurship. The foundation has profoundly impacted various areas including education, skill development, affordable housing, social consciousness, and urban innovation.

Beyond RMZ Foundation, Anu is deeply engaged with the global arts and culture ecosystem. She serves as a Global Council Member at Delfina Foundation, London, contributing to the development of future artists and change-makers through strategic and philanthropic initiatives. She is also a Member of the Advisory Council at the Kochi Biennale Foundation and part of its Platinum Benefactors circle, supporting its contemporary art initiatives through a long-term grant commitment. In addition, she is an Institutional Member at the Bangalore International Center, a patron of the India Foundation for Arts, a life member of the Crafts Council of Karnataka, and a member of the World Crafts Council.

Together, these roles reflect Anu Menda’s enduring commitment to culture, sustainability, and inclusive development – locally rooted and globally engaged.
